Certificates are anchored on public blockchains. They exist independently of us. Even if BlockContentSeal closed tomorrow, every certificate ever issued would remain verifiable — by anyone, forever — directly against the chain. We cannot revoke them. That's the point.
No. We're a content provenance infrastructure company. Blockchain is the mechanism we use for tamper-proof permanence — it's infrastructure, not the product. Our customers are journalists, editors, and engineering teams at news organizations. They never interact with the blockchain directly.
Any party can verify any sealed article using the public BCS Verification API — or by checking the blockchain record directly. No account, no subscription, no interaction with BlockContentSeal required. Verification is permissionless by design.
Digital signatures verify that you sent something. They don't create a permanent public record independently verifiable by readers, aggregators, or anyone without access to your keys. BlockContentSeal creates a permanent public record — verifiable by anyone, forever, without trusting us or you.

We compute a canonical SHA-256 hash of the content payload — article text plus metadata — and store the hash (not the content itself) on-chain, along with author ID, ISO 8601 timestamp, and article URL. The content never leaves your systems.
No — and that distinction matters. BlockContentSeal doesn't evaluate whether content was written by a human. It proves when content was published, by whom, and that it hasn't changed. Provenance, not detection. These are fundamentally different problems.
